Attention Parents of 8th Grade Students:

High School Planning is a year-long process that will kick off at the end of September. In order to best prepare our students for the transition to high school I will be conducting a survey to help determine each student’s interests and needs. In the months to come we hope to have presentations from Watertown High School, W.F. Kaynor Technical High School, and Nonnewaug High School. During these presentations our students will have the chance to get an idea of what each school is like while exploring each school’s program offerings. For those parents/students that are looking to get a head start in this process, I would encourage you to begin exploring the websites of the schools that your child is interested in. On those sites you will be able to familiarize yourself with the admissions process of that particular school and will be able to get an idea of the various programs that they offer to students. Please check back periodically for any updates and/or deadlines. I will be updating this document as we navigate through the High School Planning Process together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions and/or concerns regarding this process

Warm Regards,

John Anastasio
